Feeding Hungry and Homeless Families

Feeding With Love is a charitable organization that serves the needs of others within our communities, in the spirit of love.We passionately serve, with love, mercy and compassion, those who have been neglected by society. Our communities are filled with people who need help. There are also others within our communities who are able to help those in need. What our organization does is bring both groups together. We gather those who have the heart and desire to serve others with love and we go out as a team to look for those who are in desperate need. The need can come in many different forms. Some people within our communities are in need of food while others are in great need of shelter. You have some people who are in need of clothes and others who are in need of hygiene products. The list of needs can go on and on. As an organization we make sure to serve as many people within the community as possible.

Serving the Homeless on Skid Row

The primary community we serve is downtown Los Angeles skid row. Los Angeles County is actually the poorest place in California, with 2.6 million Angelenos --27 percent--living in poverty in 2011. Skid Row is commonly know for its homeless population as well as its deep poverty. Many people look away or look down on the people who live on skid row. The truth of the matter is they are human beings and are deserving of love and respect. Its easy for some to judge them and come up with reasons why they shouldn't help. We at Feeding With Love don't allow prejudices to prevent us from loving our fellow man.

Spiritual Food and Physical Food

Spiritual food is vital and essential for the well being of the human soul. We provide spiritual food during our feedings in downtown, by giving the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We distribute encouraging, biblical material that can be read at the individual's own time. Prayer is another critical component for spiritual health. The opportunity to pray with one of our volunteers is always available during our feedings. We provide provide nutritional meals for the homeless, unemployed, working poor families, children, senior citizens, and the disabled. Our contributions come from our generous partners who believe in what we do and are also making a difference with us. Our goal is to be able to feed 1,000 families a month by the end of 2014.
